What Am I Gonna Do About It?

The question should really be: What have I done about it? You see, for years and years, I contemplated my inability to decipher left from right, my propensity to get lost at every turn; my absolute ineptness as I tried to move from one point to another, either on foot or while driving; and I purposed that one day, I would write about what it felt like, to be a supposedly intelligent person who is clueless about orientation (knowing where I am, in relation to where I need to go) and navigation , being able to - with autonomy, certainty and accuracy - move from one location to another.) It really helped that I have encountered many persons who are just like me. And the fact that our stories are so similar convinced me that we are clueless about directions, not because we're inately stupid; not because we do not pay attention to details; not necessarily because we have an attention deficit, but simply because of who and how we are.
